Sample reels
ReCover is able to provide sample reels for testing in production within a short lead time from confirming the requirements. Unprinted film will prove the concept and demonstrate the functionality of ReCover.
Eye-mark registration is required for running at production speeds. However, we would be able to support initial trials with manual placement.
Unprinted Lidding
Many products currently using blank, unprinted lidding film are ideal for transferring to ReCover. However, we strongly recommend indicating the peel corner to consumers.
We also recommend adding the ReCover logo to inform the consumer of the recycling opportunity with this technology.
Fully printed lidding
ReCover is designed to support full colour printed designs as well as blank film.
We recommend amending the design to incorporate the peel tab corner and to educate consumers on the benefits of ReCover.
Oily foods
There is an option to have ReCover specifically designed to work with oily foods. Oily foods have proven to be extremely challenging with a range of reclosing technologies – not so with ReCover.
Contact the team for further information on how ReCover can work with oily foods.
Barrier films
ReCover is also able to support longer shelf-life products with a high barrier construction.
The precision of the undercut ensures consistency of the barrier layer.

Microwave films
Microwave foods traditionally have a thin lidding film that should be discarded after cooking. Although thin, the vast numbers of microwave trays ensures that huge quantities of plastic are thrown away to end up in landfill. No more!
ReCover can replace this lidding film and allow it to be collected for recycling.
